Question by Kina: Home Design Help! need some feedback on color carpet, Benjamin Moore Paint Colors, color scheme.?
Need to replace my entire carpet & repaint the entire interior so need major help!!!… CARPETI was intelligent of either grey or beige as a nice neutral colour.. Leaning towards beige since its more of the standard though, thinking of a color close to the color of sand!!! I love blues, grays, and greens!!! I would go w/ grey carpet, your idea of nosegay for your whirlpool is perfect I think it's a really popular color actually, for paint I would go w/ sand or beige as you don't want to get bogged down in to much blue, but you can paint an accent wall, (one of you small walls Jamestown blue. Federal blue is to dark for and entire room, but I think Jamestown is lighter in color than Federal, (I once painted my son's chair w/ it.) W/ sand paint it will look smashing, also you might think about painting your three bedrooms in sand. Below is a link it also has many other links. It's one of my fave places on the web!:)

If you go to Home Depot or Lowes they may have some way of showing you how it would look to shuffle things around. Maybe on a computer. That way you can get an idea of how it will look before you start.

Sorry for the caps but ive asked this question 3 times and noone wants to help me!!! so we are moving into a house that has a less than desirable bathroom, but we wont have plenty to remodel it for awhile. its truly not toooo bad, but i have close to no vision with what to do...the walls are like a changed tan, which i like. but they tiled the majority of the bathtub/shower area with white tile, with a line of black tile that goes all the around to accent... there is an ugly window right in the middle of the wall. tub is white. floor tiles are 12x12 white. sink is light brown marble. wood ramp is a medium light wood. wood trim around mirror is same color. o and there are sliding glass doors on the tub with an ugly swan design.so what kind of accessories/colors could i do to make this more personal? i enjoy warm rich colors. all i can think to do is paint the wood a dark brown to contrast with the lighter walls and floor and sink....any ideas?!and remember, i dont have much to invest quite yet thanks so much!

I'd like to see you pick up the black accents around the tub. You could paint the stand and mirror frame black. Get an inexpensive work cast-iron dark wiped rack and toilet paper holder. Get crisp white colored towels with a mate black hand towels for "start" effect. Get a throw rug that doesn't look similar a bathroom rug that has beige or tan, white and black in it. This should tie it all together. Most home improvement stores carry small area rugs - like 2 x 3 ft in many shades and patterns - just don't get anything that you wouldn't set in a different room besides the bath - so stay out of the bathroom accessories for the rug. When you're done, re-stare at the wall color. You might want to go more cocoa or light-colored chocolate or even mushroom color - much richer than tan - hope this gives you some ideas.
